to OSHA
and the
CDC for
cleanup
of
Blood
borne
Pathogens
and some
airborne
Pathogens,
like
Hepatitis
A,B,C,
and TB
(Tuberculosis).

by law
when the

private
home, to
use a

It is
not
mandatory,
but it
is
recommended.
When
using a
professional
cleanup
service
you can

knowledge
that all
of the
infectious
diseases
have
been
removed
and
decontaminated,
and is
no
longer a
health

Can I
have an
employee
of my
business
clean up
a Crime
or
accident
scene?
Federal
Regulation
29CFR1910.1030
of OSHA,
states
that no
Employee
can be
placed
in a
position
as to be
exposed
to
Bio-Hazardous
waste
without
first:
1)
Receiving
blood
borne
pathogen
(BBP)
training.
2)
Having a
written
BBP
exposure
control
plan.
3)
Having
been
provided
with
personal
protective
equipment
(PPE).
4)
Having
been
offered
Hepatitis
B
vaccine
and
exposure
evaluation
with a
follow
up.
5) Being
provided
with a
method
to
remove
and
properly
store
the
Bio-Hazardous
waste in
properly
marked
containers
for
disposal
at an
approved
site.
Only
after
these
five
steps
have
been
met, can
an
Employee
be
required
by their
Employer
to
enter/clean
a
Bio-Hazardous
waste
scene.
